Marvel has completely taken over the superhero movie genre and it all began with Iron Man in 2008.

The movie was a huge success, and no wonder with a cast like Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeff Bridges. The talented cast was brought together by Downey’s good friend and the movie’s director Jon Favreau. He brought a great new perspective to the genre while staying true to the comic book characters.

Tony Stark is not a model citizen or an advocate for peace and justice, and thankfully this movie doesn’t try to change that. It takes stripping Tony of everything he has and stranding him in a desert to make him evaluate his life and show a tiny bit of humility.
